Ben owns a major sports company. He is intent on maximising his pension contributions. He is building his pension pot aggressively and makes large contributions irregularly. Ben has a keen interest in the markets and likes the actively managed service Baggot provides. He also appreciates the feedback David Flynn provides on the rationale of each investment.

Bernard and Jill have a small business. They make a nice constant profit. Bernard has a buyout bond from another employment. Baggot set up Bernard and Jill with PRSA’s and they contribute small amounts monthly. Eventually they wish to sell the business, so Baggot liaise with their accountant as to how much to leave in the company and how much to transfer to the pensions.

William has a very successful company that has built up substantial cash reserves over the years. William invests his surplus funds with Baggot but needs access at short notice if a property opportunity presents itself. Many other providers have lock-in periods and exit costs, so Baggot’s liquid, no entry/exit cost portfolios suit William perfectly as he can add or withdraw at ease.

Colin has a medium sized cash investment with Baggot. He is very conscious about tax so requires a CGT (Capital Gains TAX) solution. Colin is invested in Baggot Equity Income which is CGT based while also focused on dividend income. Colin sweeps his dividends monthly as this provides a nice cash injection to compliment his other income.

Jim Was a senior partner in a major accountancy firm. On leaving we structured his various pensions into three PRSA’s and one buy out bond. At this stage Jim does not want to retire and does need an income from his pension. The reason we set up several PRSA’s is that Jim can move to an ARF, one pension pot at a time, without triggering his total tax-free lump sum.

Declan has a large cash investment with Baggot. He has an appetite for risk, but it was not deemed appropriate to have all the funds set to a high-risk strategy. We advised Declan that the bulk of the funds should be in a medium risk account, however we also set up two other accounts where Declan has smaller high-risk strategies. This provides Declan with the excitement of equity only but also the security of a multi asset medium risk account.
